Oporto today is a prosperous urban centre, the setting of many national and international investments. Recent projects include the new airport terminal, regarded by many international entities as the best in Europe, the Oporto Underground which is planned to have almost 100 km of track and 100 stations, making it one of the largest light rail networks in the world. Casa da Música (opera and concert house) is also one of the major projects of the day, in itself a worldwide renowned landmark known for its daring, modern architecture. Also worthy of mention is the Estádio do Dragão (“Dragon Stadium”), the home of one of the most important clubs in the world, Oporto Football Club. The stadium has already featured on several occasions in international architecture magazines where it has been highly praised.
